As an historian, my focus is, of course, on the past and the stories that make up our history. Currrently, I am fascinated with the history of a local church. This particular property has had a church building on it since 1845. The current structure has stood here since 1895 and is in amazingly good condition.
This photo from the early part of the twentieth century shows the church in its heyday. What is not quite so apparent is the are and beauty that is so inherent in the building. This past week, I had the privilege of photographing the windows and interior of the church and the parsonage. I am inspired to complete the research and write the history of this wonderful old landmark.
